Working On Behalf Of: Smile Education

Smile Education is looking to recruit several experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time roles at a primary school in the WS3 area, starting in September. These long-term positions are based within the school’s dedicated SEN Hub, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, including those with SEMH, ASC, and behavioural difficulties
  • Work closely with the school’s SEN team to deliver consistent, structured support
  • Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment for all pupils
  • Help implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Have prior experience working with SEN pupils in a school or similar setting
  • Must have a Level 2 or Level 3 relevant qualification in Childcare & Primary Education
  • Be confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Be committed, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
