SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support) – Primary School – Nuneaton

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Nuneaton is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a young girl with autism. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone patient, caring and committed to helping children succeed in school.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SEN team, supporting learning, communication and confidence in a nurturing environment where staff and pupils are truly valued.

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 classroom support for a pupil with autism
  • Help her engage in learning, build independence and develop social skills
  • Support communication, emotional regulation and positive routines
  • Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs
  • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and parents
  • Create a calm, encouraging and supportive learning space
About You
  • Warm, patient and understanding
  • Experience supporting children with autism (desirable)
  • Passionate about working with SEND pupils
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, reliable and dedicated to consistent support
