Contract – Full time opportunity Monday– Friday until end of academic year.
Are you a professional SEN Teaching assistant looking for a new role or next step in your career? A brilliant opportunity has arisen to support SEN students with Autism in vibrant, playful primary school in B31.
The Role
- Guide and provide support for the children during lesson time with the class teacher.
- Motivate and encourage learners – Exciting learning styles and techniques.
- Encourage independence within the classroom.
- Support learning in line with EHCP plans and student progress plans
- Work in line with the amazing safeguarding team (SENCO, DSL and class teacher)
- Prioritise student wellbeing and safety – Following lesson plans and adaptability.

Requirements
- Experience working with Autism (minimum 3 months)
- Level 3 TA qualification or relevant teaching experience
- Professional and caring nature, create a safe and exciting environment
- Committed to full time – Being reliable (these children are counting on you!)
- Must hold a relevant qualification or extensive experience of working within a similar role.
- Able to provide a minimum of 2 references cover the past two years. Atleast one reference should comment on your interaction with children.
- Hold an enhanced DBS or willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education.
