Smile Education have a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-established team on a flexible basis, within a SEN Primary school in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
The role will include supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). You will be working on a 1:1 basis with several of the pupils, offering the highest level of support in their academic, social and emotional development.

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Supporting a range of SEN needs
Working independently and as part of a wider team
Supporting Class Teacher in daily activities
Immediate Start available
Working Hours 8.15am – 3.30pm
Term time only
Opportunity for long-term role

About You:

Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
Prior experience supporting SEN pupils
Confident in working independently
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Able to travel to Tamworth
Be able to provide references covering the last 2 years
Hold an enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
