SEN Secondary Teacher – Full Time Location: Birmingham B14
Pay: £150 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Monday–Friday | Until end of academic year

large, inclusive secondary school that is seeking a
passionate and dedicated SEN Secondary Teacher to join their specialist support team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher to work within a well-established secondary setting, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The role is ideal for a teacher who is committed to inclusion, differentiation and making a lasting impact on young people’s academic and personal development.
The Role • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEN
• Support students with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
• Plan and adapt lessons in line with EHCPs and individual learning plans
• Work across KS3 and KS4 (subject specialism welcomed but not essential)
• Create a structured, calm and supportive learning environment
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress
• Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants and pastoral teams
• Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times

Requirements •
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ESSENTIAL • Previous experience teaching students with SEN in a secondary setting
• Experience supporting Autism and/or SEMH is highly desirable
• Confident teaching and supporting KS3 and KS4 learners
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Professional, patient and nurturing approach
• Reliable and committed to a full-time role
• Able to provide
a minimum of 2 references covering the past 2 years (one must reference work with children)
• Hold an
enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education
