SEN Teacher – Primary SEN Specialist Teacher – Full Time (SEN Specialist)
Location: B30
Pay: £140 – £200 per day (based on experience)
Contract: Full-time opportunity, Monday–Friday, until the end of the academic year.

Smile Education is proud to be supporting a welcoming SEMH and alternate provision-style primary setting that is seeking a passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join their team in B30.
This is a strong opportunity for a dedicated SEN specialist teacher to lead a class of pupils who benefit from smaller, structured learning environments that prioritise emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress. The role is suitable for teachers with experience in KS1 and/or KS2 who are committed to inclusive practice and making a meaningful difference.

The Role

• Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching tailored to pupils with a range of special educational needs
• Plan and implement personalised learning programmes in line with EHCPs and IEPs
• Create and maintain a safe, supportive and structured learning environment that promotes positive behaviour
• Assess, track and report on pupil progress and development
• Use differentiated and multi-sensory approaches to meet individual learning needs
• Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs and external professionals
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and parents/carers
• Contribute to reviews, meetings and multi-agency planning
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience working with Autism (minimum 6 months)
• SEN teaching experience (minimum 3 months)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviours
• Professional, caring and resilient approach
• Commitment to full-time work and reliability
• Ability to provide a minimum of two references covering the past two years (at least one referencing work with children)
• Hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education
