Smile Education is currently working with a number of specialist and mainstream schools across the Wolverhampton area that require experienced SEN Teachers to provide flexible cover and additional classroom support. Cover requirements can arise due to staff absence, training, increased pupil needs, intervention programmes, and additional support funding.
Opportunities are available from 1 to 5 days per week, allowing you to choose a schedule that works for you.

The RoleAs an SEN Supply Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language Needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual pupils
- Manage behaviour effectively and promote positive outcomes
- Work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals
- Follow school policies and EHCP targets where required
Essential RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have recent UK-based teaching experience
- Have experience supporting and teaching children with Special Educational Needs
- Be confident adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
- Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
- Be available for day-to-day supply work
- Be open to receiving morning calls for same-day cover assignments
- Be able to travel to schools across the Wolverhampton area
- Be available to work school hours of 8:15am – 3:30pm
- Provide a minimum of two professional references covering the last two years, including comments on your work with children
- Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new DBS through Smile Education
