Smile Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive SEN Primary School based in Staffordshire. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their committed team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is driven to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
  • Passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • Self-motivated, driven, and proactive in their approach
  • Positive and enthusiastic about delivering and supporting the curriculum
  • Patient, understanding, and resilient
  • Knowledgeable about SEN and inclusive learning strategies
  • Confident working as part of a team, while also capable of working independently when required
  • Committed to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or equivalent)
  • Recent experience working within an SEN or Primary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine desire to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
The Role:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff
