Level 3+ Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEN & SEMH School
Location: B68
Pay: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday – Long-term opportunity ASAP START
Smile Education is working in partnership with a large specialist SEN primary school in B68 seeking a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or above) to support pupils with complex needs including SEMH and physical disabilities.
This role is suited to a highly qualified support professional who is confident working with children who require structured, consistent and specialist support.

The Role
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Assist with differentiated and adapted curriculum delivery
- Support communication, sensory and mobility needs
- Provide personal care where required
- Follow behaviour plans and therapeutic strategies
- Record pupil progress and feedback to teaching staff
- Contribute to a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above) – Essential
- Proven experience within a specialist SEN or SEMH school
- Experience supporting pupils with physical or complex disabilities
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
- Resilient, professional and highly reliable
- Two references covering the past two years
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
