Level 3+ Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEN & SEMH School Location: B68
Pay: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday – Long-term opportunity ASAP START

Smile Education is working in partnership with a large specialist SEN primary school in B68 seeking a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or above) to support pupils with complex needs including SEMH and physical disabilities.
This role is suited to a highly qualified support professional who is confident working with children who require structured, consistent and specialist support.

The Role
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Assist with differentiated and adapted curriculum delivery
  • Support communication, sensory and mobility needs
  • Provide personal care where required
  • Follow behaviour plans and therapeutic strategies
  • Record pupil progress and feedback to teaching staff
  • Contribute to a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above) – Essential
  • Proven experience within a specialist SEN or SEMH school
  • Experience supporting pupils with physical or complex disabilities
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Resilient, professional and highly reliable
  • Two references covering the past two years
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Applicants without a level 3 qualification or higher in Teaching assistant will not be progessed to interview stage (No health and social care)
