Willenhall and the surrounding areas.
This is an opportunity to play a vital role in helping children with additional needs overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and achieve their potential. We are looking for individuals who understand that every child is different and who can provide the patience, consistency and encouragement needed to help pupils succeed.
As an SEN Support Worker, you will provide personalised support to pupils with a range of additional needs. You may work on a 1:1 basis, within small groups or alongside the class teacher to ensure pupils can fully engage with their education.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 and small-group SEN support
- Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and classroom activities
- Working with children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and other learning difficulties
- Supporting emotional regulation, confidence and social development
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
- Following individual education and support plans
- Monitoring and contributing to pupil progress
- Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
