About the SchoolThis is a generic co-educational special school for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The secondary provision caters for students aged 11–19 years with a range of special educational needs, including autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities.

Role Responsibilities:- Support students aged 11–19 with a range of SEN needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings
- Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored and engaging learning activities
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Requirements:- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (essential)
- Recent experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs
- A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- Ability to provide a minimum of two references covering the past two years, with at least one commenting on your interaction with children
