The Role The successful candidate will:
- Support teaching and learning for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Work closely with teaching staff, Senior Leadership Team, in-house specialists and therapy professionals to support pupil progress
- Adapt support strategies in line with guidance to meet individual needs
- Supervise pupils at lunchtime
- Undertake duties as required to contribute to a safe, positive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have strong behaviour management skills
- Be able to listen to guidance and adapt their support approach to meet individual student needs
- Have experience supporting students with a range of additional needs
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Have high standards and expectations of themselves and the pupils they support
- Be creative, enthusiastic and have a positive “can do” attitude
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a dedicated and hardworking team
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
