Primary SEND Learning Support

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for primary-aged pupils with a range of SEND
- Deliver curriculum-aligned activities adapted to suit individual learning needs
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Work alongside a large, supportive team of professionals within the school
- Be flexible with working days to accommodate the needs of the pupils and the school
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Education
- Recent experience supporting Primary-aged pupils with SEND in a UK school setting
- Confident working independently while also taking direction as part of a collaborative team
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience adapting it to suit SEND learners
- Proven experience supporting children with autism, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities
- Up-to-date understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to inclusive education
- Able to provide two references, including one that confirms your experience working with children
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
- A supportive, inclusive school environment
