Primary SEN Teacher

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, using this information to inform future planning and targeted support.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals to provide a consistent and supportive approach.
- Contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalised support strategies.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEN setting.
- A strong understanding of different learning needs, including communication and behavioural challenges.
- The ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to teaching.
- A competitive daily rate of £92–£112, depending on experience.
- Flexible payment options, including PAYE and Umbrella.
- Holiday pay calculated at 12.07%.
