Smile Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist PE Teacher to join a special needs secondary school based in Wolverhampton. This is a full-time role, initially running until the Christmas break, with the possibility of continuation.
The school provides an inclusive and supportive environment for pupils with a range of special educational needs, ensuring that every student can access high-quality physical education that promotes confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing.
About the Role
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons tailored to students with a variety of additional needs
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with school and curriculum expectations
  • Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to support pupils’ personal and physical development
  • Maintain strong classroom management and uphold the school’s behaviour policies
  • Commit fully to the role, including planning, assessment, and contribution to wider school life
About You
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have proven experience working with SEND students, ideally within a specialist or alternative provision
  • Confident in adapting PE activities to meet diverse needs and abilities
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, proactive approach
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people
