Smile Education’s Specialist SEN Team are delighted to be supporting a specialist school in Sandwell in their search for a dedicated and qualified PE Teacher. This full-time role will begin in January and run until at least Easter, with the possibility of extension.

The school caters for pupils aged 7–19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and a range of additional needs. They deliver a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to individual learners, ensuring every pupil can progress, thrive, and leave school with meaningful accredited qualifications. Their values are rooted in the belief that all pupils deserve to be Safe, Happy and Learning Together.

About the Role
  • Full-time PE Teacher position
  • Start date: January
  • Duration: Until at least Easter
  • Teach and support students with MLD and additional needs
  • Deliver motivating, differentiated PE lessons
  • Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Become an active and supportive member of the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will: ✔ Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✔ Have experience teaching students with MLD and a range of additional needs
✔ Be confident in differentiating lessons to meet diverse needs
✔ Demonstrate a positive, encouraging approach to learning
✔ Embrace the school’s ethos of Safe, Happy and Learning Together
✔ Commit fully to the role and immerse themselves in school life
✔ Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
✔ Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Smile
✔ Provide two references covering the past two years, including comments on work with children
