Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant

Smile Education are currently seeking multiple Teaching Assistants to join a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a variety of SEN needs while becoming part of a dedicated and welcoming school community.
✨ What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or Childcare
  • Strong experience and knowledge of supporting pupils with SEN
  • At least 12 months’ experience working in an SEN school or supporting SEN pupils within a mainstream setting
  • Confidence in supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Ability to deliver activities and learning tasks planned by class teachers
  • Skilled in behaviour management and confident in de-escalating situations
  • Able to work independently and fully immerse yourself in school life
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children
  • Able to provide two references covering the past two years
  • Willing to commit to a full-time role
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education
  • Able to attend a registration appointment with Smile Education to complete safeguarding checks
