Learning Support Assistant

The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with a variety of complex needs.
- Promote a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment.
- Use your experience and knowledge to help children reach their full potential.
- Assist with personal care and lead engaging activities tailored to individual needs.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly.
- Work collaboratively with the school team to support each pupil’s learning and wellbeing.
- A relevant qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or Supporting Teaching and Learning (essential).
Other qualifications will not be considered for this role. - UK-based experience supporting children or young adults with SEND.
- Ability to provide a minimum of two professional references covering the past two years.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education.
- Be hands-on, proactive, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
