The Role: KS1 SEND Teacher
Location: Burton Upon Trent
Contract: Flexible working days
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Provide a nurturing, structured environment to support emotional and academic development
- Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and families to implement EHCPs and learning plans
- Use a range of strategies to manage behaviour and support social communication
- Maintain clear records of progress and contribute to regular review meetings
- Promote inclusion and equality across the curriculum
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly in KS1
- Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills
- Passion for supporting young learners with additional needs
