Are you a recent psychology graduate or someone with experience working with children or young people? Are you passionate about supporting students with behavioural needs and looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting?


An excellent SEN secondary school in Stockport is looking for a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support students with behavioural and additional needs, including ADHD, ASC, and SEMH. This is a fantastic stepping stone for a future career in education, mental health, therapy, or clinical psychology.


Graduate Behaviour Mentor – Role Overview:
  • Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
  • Assist students with additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH
  • Provide academic, emotional and social development support
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external agencies
  • Adapt to different classrooms, year groups, and learning styles as needed


Who We're Looking For:

  • Degree in Psychology, Criminology, Education, or a related field (desirable)
  • Experience working with children or young people, especially in a SEN, PRU or youth work setting
  • Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
  • A calm, proactive, and professional approach to behaviour management
  • A passion for inclusive education and mental health support
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
