Stockport is looking for a
Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support students with behavioural and additional needs, including
ADHD, ASC, and SEMH. This is a fantastic stepping stone for a future career in
education, mental health, therapy, or clinical psychology.
Graduate Behaviour Mentor – Role Overview:- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
- Assist students with additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH
- Provide academic, emotional and social development support
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external agencies
- Adapt to different classrooms, year groups, and learning styles as needed
Who We're Looking For:- Degree in Psychology, Criminology, Education, or a related field (desirable)
- Experience working with children or young people, especially in a SEN, PRU or youth work setting
- Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
- A calm, proactive, and professional approach to behaviour management
- A passion for inclusive education and mental health support
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
