1:1 Learning support assistant

Smile Education are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a student at a further education setting in the Walsall area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to a young person's learning experience.

About the Role:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student within their chosen subjects
Assist the student in accessing their learning, understanding content, and completing work
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistent and effective support
Commitment of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Initial placement running from September to October half term, with the possibility of extension

Requirements:

Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent relevant to education)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one through Smile Education
Able to attend an induction day in August
Recent experience working in a similar role within an education setting
Confident in supporting students on a one-to-one basis
Passionate about helping young people succeed in education
