Smile Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in the Shrewsbury area.
Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day work, short-term placements or something longer term, this is a great opportunity to find a role that works around you.
Supply teaching offers the chance to experience different schools, meet new staff and students, and enjoy a varied working week without the long-term commitment of a permanent position. You’ll be supported by a dedicated consultant who will work with you to find schools and opportunities that suit your experience and availability.
The RoleAs a Supply Teacher, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across different subjects and year groups.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Keep students engaged, focused and on task.
- Follow school policies and procedures.
- Adapt quickly to different schools and classroom settings.
- Support students with their learning and individual needs.
- Provide brief feedback or handover information where required.
- Qualified Teachers and ECTs.
- Experience working within UK secondary schools.
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- An adaptable and positive approach.
- The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- Reliable, professional and enthusiastic teachers.
- Teachers who are comfortable working across different schools and subjects.
