Smile Education are working in partnership with a high-performing and forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a passionate Science Teacher. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, well-resourced school with a strong focus on academic excellence, student wellbeing, and professional development.
The Role:
  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for suitably experienced candidates)
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-established department
  • Full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking, and assessment
The School:
  • High expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Strong leadership and clear systems in place

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, though strong unqualified or overseas-trained teachers will be considered

  • Confident classroom presence and good behaviour management
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to student success
  • Open to a long-term role with the possibility of going permanent
