Smile Education is working in partnership with several values‑driven secondary schools in Oldham to recruit a passionate and committed Science Teacher starting in April 2026. This opportunity is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs, offering the chance to join supportive departments that place student engagement, progress, and enjoyment of Science at the heart of their practice.

About the Role
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging Science curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning for all students.
Depending on the placement, roles may include:
  • Long‑term cover
  • Temp‑to‑perm opportunities
  • Supply or block placements via the Guaranteed Pay Scheme
 
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Possess QTS or a Level 5 teaching qualification
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the secondary curriculum and use effective instructional techniques to drive student results.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, with a genuine passion for motivating students to excel in science.
  • Prioritise laboratory safety and the effective delivery of practical experiments.
  • Maintain an Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to rigorous safeguarding standards.
