Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging and purposeful Science lessons.
- Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics at GCSE level.
- Creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking and a passion for Science.
- Differentiating and adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.
- Assessing, marking and providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Working collaboratively within the Science department to contribute to the continued success of the faculty.
- Supporting the wider development of students through positive relationships, high expectations and effective classroom management.
The School Are Looking For
- Science ECTs or fully qualified Science Teachers.
- Experience teaching Science within UK secondary school classrooms.
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum.
- Experience teaching GCSE Science and familiarity with relevant examination boards.
- A calm, professional and engaging classroom presence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for Science.
- Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting student progress.
- A commitment to creating a caring, inclusive and positive learning environment.
