Position: Secondary Physics Teacher
Location: Manchester, M8
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £160–£210 per day (dependent on experience)
Age Group: KS3/KS4
Contract: Full-Time
 
About the Role:
Join a forward-thinking Science department as a Physics Teacher, delivering engaging and accessible lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. Whether you’re teaching a full class or working with smaller groups or individuals, your lessons will spark curiosity and deepen scientific understanding.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons tailored to a range of learning needs.
  • Provide personalised support for students who need help grasping key concepts.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, using insights to adapt your teaching.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Science department to deliver a rich and cohesive curriculum.
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards a PGCE in Science/Physics.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics, with flexibility to support general Science where needed.
  • Passionate about science education, with a talent for motivating young learners.
  • Classroom or tutoring experience with secondary-aged pupils.
  • Confident teaching across both KS3 and KS4.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Smile Education.
  • A reflective, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach to teaching.
