Location: Birmingham

Contract: Full-Time
Smile Education is working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to teach Key Stages 3 and 4 on a long-term, full-time basis.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic RE Teacher or Humanities Teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and encouraging students to explore different beliefs, cultures, and ethical perspectives.
The Role As an RE Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Encouraging students to develop critical thinking and cultural understanding
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitoring, assessing, and supporting student progress
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who:
  • Holds a degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
  • Has QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
  • Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Is passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential
Experience teaching GCSE Religious Education is desirable but not essential.
