Smile Education is recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher to join a successful secondary school on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire young people through physical education, sport and extracurricular activities. The Role
As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and purposeful lessons that inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in physical activity and sport.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons across the secondary age range.
  • Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
  • Supporting students to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Assessing student progress and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Encouraging participation in a wide range of sporting and extracurricular activities.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting opportunities for students beyond the classroom.
  • Building positive relationships with students, colleagues and the wider school community.
The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will:
  • Be a qualified PE Teacher or an ECT with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Be passionate about promoting physical activity, sport and healthy lifestyles.
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be able to deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Be committed to maintaining high expectations and supporting every student to achieve their potential.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be enthusiastic about supporting extracurricular sport and wider opportunities for students.
