A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic female Physical Education Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Swinton. This is a chance to play a pivotal role in inspiring students—particularly girls—to engage in physical activity, embrace healthy lifestyles, and grow in confidence both on and off the field.
 
Location: Swinton, M27
Pay Scale: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate
This role offers the opportunity to be a positive female role model, inspiring students—particularly girls—to embrace physical activity, lead healthy lifestyles, and develop confidence through sport.
 
The Role – PE Teacher
As a PE Teacher, you will take a lead in delivering a rich, inclusive curriculum that promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, and personal growth across Key Stages 3 and 4.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across a wide range of sporting activities.
  • Encouraging full participation and confidence in physical education among all students, with particular emphasis on female engagement.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive environment where students feel supported and inspired to achieve their personal best.
  • Promoting teamwork, leadership, and resilience both in lessons and through extracurricular activities.
  • Assessing progress and adapting teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Supporting the wider school community through active involvement in clubs, competitions, and school sports events.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
 
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Have a genuine passion for girls’ physical education and encouraging lifelong participation in sport.
  • Possess strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Be committed to personal development and reflective teaching practice.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
