Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Cannock.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic MFL teacher who can confidently deliver French across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is looking for someone who can inspire students, develop their confidence in language learning and create engaging lessons that encourage participation and progress.
The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential. There is a strong emphasis on positive relationships, high expectations and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging French lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Developing students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
• Preparing and supporting students studying French at GCSE level.
• Creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages communication and cultural awareness.
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and other additional needs.
• Assessing, marking and providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the MFL department.
• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and high expectations.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence and enthusiasm for learning languages.

The School Are Looking For

• MFL ECTs or fully qualified MFL Teachers.
• The ability to confidently teach French across both KS3 and KS4.
• Experience teaching within UK secondary school classrooms.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the MFL curriculum.
• Experience teaching GCSE French would be advantageous.
• A calm, professional and engaging classroom presence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to inspire enthusiasm and confidence in language learning.
• Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting student progress.
• A commitment to creating a caring, inclusive and positive learning environment.
