Design & Technology Teacher with a knowledge or experience in
Food Technology to join their supportive team.
Location: WN3
Pay: £150 – £230 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role: Join a vibrant Design & Technology department where food and nutrition play a central role. You’ll have the opportunity to lead lessons that go beyond the textbook—helping students explore healthy lifestyles, develop practical skills, and think creatively about the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students within the Design & Technology curriculum, with a primary focus on Food Technology
- Plan and deliver imaginative lessons that build confidence, independence, and essential life skills
- Promote safe, hands-on learning in specialist food rooms and DT spaces
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment with shared planning and support
- Help shape a curriculum that prepares students for life beyond school
What We’re Looking For:- QTS or equivalent qualification in Teaching, Food, Nutrition, or a Design & Technology-related subject
- Sound knowledge of food preparation, safety, and nutrition (with openness to delivering other DT areas)
- A creative and reflective teaching style
- Strong behaviour management and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
