Humanities Teacher – Immediate or September Start | Long-Term Opportunity
Smile Education are proud to be supporting a high-performing and ambitious secondary school with the recruitment of an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher for an immediate or September start. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking school that is committed to delivering high-quality education and supporting both students and staff to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for an engaging and passionate teacher who can bring Humanities to life in the classroom and inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of learning. Whether you specialise in Geography, History, Religious Education or have experience teaching across multiple Humanities subjects, we would love to hear from you.
This opportunity would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to further develop their careers within a supportive and welcoming school environment.
The Role:
As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across the Humanities curriculum while creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged and motivated to succeed.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teaching within your specialism and wider Humanities subjects where required
  • Monitoring, assessing and tracking student progress
  • Differentiating learning to support students of varying abilities
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Humanities within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for Humanities and inspiring young people
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A positive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
