Health and Social Care Teacher to join their dynamic team.
Position: Health & Social Care Teacher
Location: Manchester, M9
Start Date: October 2025
Pay Rate: £160–£210 per day (dependent on experience)
Age Group: Key Stage 3 & 4
Contract Type: Full-Time
About the Role:As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you’ll inspire students to explore topics such as human development, wellbeing, and the health and care sector. You’ll help learners make vital connections between theory and real-world application — preparing them for further education, apprenticeships, and future careers in this rewarding field.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that bring Health and Social Care to life.
• Creating a supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
• Designing lessons in line with the national curriculum (KS3 and KS4).
• Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
• Encouraging critical thinking, empathy, and professional values.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to plan and share best practice.
What We’re Looking For:- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE, or working towards one.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Health and Social Care within the UK curriculum.
• Applications from teachers with Post-16 education experience (e.g. FE, Sixth Form, or College) are highly encouraged.
• Graduates with a Health and Social Care–related degree who are looking to begin a career in education are also welcome to apply.
• A passion for helping young people succeed academically and personally.
• Confidence in delivering lessons to mixed-ability groups.
• A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education).
• A proactive, supportive, and student-focused teaching approach.
