General Cover Supply Teacher

Smile Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Staffordshire to recruit a General Cover Supply Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school known for its strong community values, student-centred approach, and commitment to staff development.
Responsibilities of the General Cover Supply Teacher Role:
- Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is a bonus)
- Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Provide feedback on student progress to relevant teaching staff
- Uphold all safeguarding and school policies consistently
To apply for this General Cover Supply Teacher role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience in UK secondary schools
- Confidence delivering lessons across a variety of subjects
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to supporting learning
- Daily rate of £140-180
- PAYE and Umbrella payment options
- Holiday pay of 12.07%
- Referral scheme up to £200
- Dedicated consultant working within your area
