A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic female Physical Education Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school community in Walkden. This role offers the chance to inspire young people—especially girls—to lead active lives, build self-belief, and develop key life skills through sport.
 
Location: Walkden, M28
Pay Scale: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate
 
The Role – Female PE Teacher
You will be responsible for delivering a broad and inclusive PE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of sporting disciplines
  • Encourage full participation and increase confidence, particularly among girls
  • Create an inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to succeed
  • Promote leadership, teamwork, and resilience in both lessons and extracurricular activities
  • Track and assess student progress, adapting your approach to meet diverse learning needs
  • Support whole-school life through active involvement in events, clubs, and sports teams
  • Work collaboratively within the department to continuously improve outcomes
 
 
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold QTS and have experience teaching PE at secondary level
  • Be passionate about girls' physical education and inclusive sport
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and a motivational teaching style
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Show commitment to professional development and reflective practice
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service
