English Teacher – Further Education – St Helens, Merseyside

Smile Education Northwest is working in partnership with a large secondary school in St Helens.

They need a Secondary English Teacher with QTS to support their English department.

This role is a fixed term contract, up until the end of the academic year.

This secondary school wants people and students who have the highest aspirations and promotes positive mentality and attitudes across the school. They are committed to not only ensuring their students achieve but are equipped to lead happy and successful lives when they leave also.

If you welcome this ethos and culture, then this role as a Secondary English Teacher with some pastoral support could be perfect for you!

The successful candidate must have:
  • 2 education-based references
  • You must have a UK degree or UK teaching qualification for this role.
  • QTS is essential.
  • Experience and knowledge with English is essential.
  • A passion for teaching / supporting.
  • Good approach to behaviour management
  • A determined, hard-working attitude

You will join a staff body who are fun, dedicated, hardworking and professional, who will work together to support you in reaching your potential.

You will be able to start in the role immediately on a full-time basis where you will be paid to scale from M1 dependant on your experience and qualifications.


About you:

You will have knowledge on the UK English curriculum and learning stages. Beneficial traits for this role include patience, drive, and approachability.
