About the Role: Join a forward-thinking Humanities and Social Sciences department where
Economics takes centre stage. You'll teach a stimulating curriculum that helps students explore key economic principles—like supply and demand, inflation, market structures, and government intervention—while also integrating practical business knowledge that prepares them for real-world decision-making.
Whether it's guiding students through their first macroeconomic model or encouraging entrepreneurial thinking, your lessons will challenge, inspire, and prepare learners for further study and beyond.
What You’ll Be Doing: • Delivering engaging and insightful lessons in
Economics and Business to KS4 and KS5 students
• Making abstract economic theories relevant and relatable through real-life case studies and interactive projects
• Supporting students through their GCSE and A-Level journeys with clear feedback and targeted interventions
• Fostering debate and independent thinking on topics like global markets, inequality, and policy decisions
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a robust, forward-looking curriculum
What We’re Looking For:
• QTS or PGCE in
Economics, Business Studies, or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge, particularly in
micro and macroeconomics • Passion for helping students understand the impact of economics in their daily lives and the wider world
• Confidence teaching KS4 and KS5, with a student-centred, reflective teaching style
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and dynamically
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Smile Education
