Smile Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Stechford area to recruit a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join their team after Easter. This is a full-time, long-term position running until the end of the academic year, with the strong possibility of extension or a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive Performing Arts department within a school that values creativity, self-expression and student engagement. The school has a diverse and vibrant student community, and Drama plays a key role in building confidence, resilience and communication skills across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role:
  • Teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, practical and theory-based lessons
  • Preparing students for performances and assessments
  • Contributing to extracurricular activities, productions or clubs (desirable but not essential)
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • Has experience teaching Drama in a UK secondary school setting
  • Is enthusiastic, creative and able to inspire a love of performance
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
  • Is committed to making a positive impact on students’ progress and confidence
Unqualified teachers or instructors with strong Drama experience and a background in performing arts are also encouraged to apply.
