Smile Education are delighted to be supporting a successful and forward-thinking secondary school within a highly regarded Multi-Academy Trust in their search for a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join their thriving Science department from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established department with a strong reputation for academic achievement, excellent behaviour and a commitment to providing students with an outstanding education. The position is to cover a maternity leave and offers the chance to work within a supportive and collaborative teaching environment.

The RoleThe successful candidate will:
  • Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver engaging, practical and challenging lessons that inspire students to develop a passion for Science.
  • Differentiate learning to support students of all abilities.
  • Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively.
  • Contribute positively to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for:
  • A qualified Science Teacher with the ability to teach Chemistry.
  • QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Chemistry.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for students.
