Biology Teacher:
Smile Education is working in partnership with a high-achieving secondary school in Coventry, who are seeking an experienced and passionate KS5 Biology Teacher to join their team from February 2026, or sooner for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Biology specialist who thrives at A-Level, enjoys stretching and challenging students, and is passionate about helping young people succeed in their next academic steps.
The Role As a KS5 Biology Teacher, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging A-Level Biology lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Support students in developing strong analytical, practical, and exam skills
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive science department committed to academic excellence
You may also be asked to support with general science teaching at lower key stages when required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • A degree in Biology or a closely related subject and QTS (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience teaching KS5 / A-Level Biology
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex biological concepts clearly and engagingly
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a genuine passion for inspiring young scientists
