Smile Education are working with a well-established secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to support Year 11 students in the crucial lead-up to their GCSEs.

This role is perfect for an Art specialist who can step into a supportive department and deliver engaging lessons while helping students refine coursework and achieve their full potential.

The Role:
  • Deliver engaging Art & Design lessons, with a strong focus on Year 11 GCSE students
  • Support students with coursework, portfolio development and exam preparation
  • Provide targeted intervention to boost attainment and confidence
  • Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
  • Work closely with the department to ensure continuity of learning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) or have strong unqualified teaching experience
  • Have experience teaching GCSE Art & Design
  • Be confident supporting students with final pieces and coursework deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom presence
  • Be adaptable, proactive and ready to hit the ground running
