Children's residential support worker

We are seeking experienced Residential Support Workers in the Birmingham area to work with one of our residential settings supporting children with Moderate Learning Disabilities. The position will be, at times, challenging however greatly rewarding knowing you are the person making a difference!

Where you will be working:
·4-bed home with 3 children placed who have Moderate Learning Disabilities
·You will not only be joining the home but part of their family ethos where supporting the children is not your only task (but of course, your priority)
·Well established team with plenty of support and induction available to you
·You will need to be hard working, have a sense of humour and be great at teamwork

What you will be doing:
As you will likely already know, no 2 days are the same as a Support Worker. Your role will include, but not limited to, duties such as:
·Communicating via verbal and nonverbal methods
·Encouraging and motivating the children to interact and gain valuable social skills
·Organising activities for the children to take part in
·Cater to any additional requirements that may arise
·This role will require you to work both day and night shifts

·Eligibility to work in the UK
·Full, enhanced DBS or the funds to acquire one
