Children & Young People Residential Support Workers – Oldbury

Smile Education are an award-winning education recruitment agency with a difference! We are currently seeking?experienced?Residential Support Workers on a permanent basis in Oldbury. You will be supporting children between the ages of 8-17 years with challenging behaviour, Autism and EBD. ??
Due to the nature of this Residential Support Worker role, you will be expected to undertake various compliance checks including?the Prohibited list, Barred list, DBS and Qualifications.?

The Residential Support Worker Role?
  • Permanent, full time?
  • Shifts will include both day?shifts?and?sleep-ins?on a rota basis – All shifts required
  • Pay: £18,500 to £20,000 per annum plus shift allowance
  • Based in Oldbury (B70 7JB)
The Ideal Residential Support Worker;
  • Experience working with children who present with challenging behaviour
  • Level 3 qualification held, or the motivation to complete one given the opportunity?
  • Hold a full, manual driving licence
  • You will be a team player, creative and energetic?and?able to show resilience and present?yourself?as a role model?
  • Hold a full, enhanced Child & Adult DBS, or have the funds to obtain one?
  • Be able to provide references in support of previous employment with children?
Easily commutable from areas such as West Bromwich, Dudley, Halesowen, Birmingham, Walsall, Stourbridge, Aldridge, Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield, Brownhills, Solihull, Featherstone and Kidderminster.
