Contract: Full-time | Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Salary: In line with Main Pay Scale (MPS)

A friendly and community-focused primary school in Kings Heath is seeking a committed and experienced Year 4 Teacher to join the team from 27th April to cover maternity leave.

The school has a strong inclusive ethos, high expectations and a supportive leadership team. This is a full-time role with full classroom responsibility, including planning, preparation, delivery and assessment.

The Role:

  • Full responsibility for a Year 4 class
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the KS2 team
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • ECT induction years fully completed
  • UK teaching qualification
  • Recent UK primary classroom experience
  • Proven experience teaching within KS2
  • Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting all learners
Please note: Only candidates with UK qualifications and UK teaching experience will be considered. Overseas applicants without UK QTS and UK classroom experience will not be shortlisted.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience teaching in Year 4
