Smile Education are proud to be supporting a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Burton in their search for a dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis.

This is a job share role, working Thursdays and Fridays, starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.

About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher to step into a well-supported classroom where:
  • All planning is prepared, allowing you to focus purely on delivering high-quality teaching
  • No after-school meetings or parents’ evenings are required
  • You’ll be working alongside a collaborative and friendly team
The school is looking for someone who is strong, hardworking, and confident in delivering engaging lessons that support pupils’ learning and development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred)
  • Experience teaching in Year 3 (desirable), although experienced ECTs are welcome to apply
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative
  • A positive attitude and willingness to commit to the role through to the end of the school year
 Safeguarding & Compliance Requirements:
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
  • Ability to provide a minimum of two references covering the past two years, commenting on your work with children
  • Willingness to meet with the school and complete a registration process with Smile Education to ensure all safeguarding and compliance checks are in place
Working Pattern:
  • 2 days per week (Thursday & Friday)
  • Immediate start until the end of the academic year
