Year 3 Teacher

Year 3 Teacher required for a primary school based in Burton-on-Trent. 

Role; Full-time, Long-term.
Start date: September 2025

Roles and responsibilities:
• To plan and deliver effective subject focused lessons following the national school curriculum.
• Completing marking, assessments, and reports to monitor the children’s learning and development progress.
• Manage and guide the class teaching assistant where required.
• Use positive reinforcement to manage classroom behaviour.
• Playground duty once a week to support with outdoor learning.
• Create a good parent partnership, ensuring feedback is effective following on from the children’s day at school.
• Attend staff meetings and training opportunities to support personal career progression.

Ideal applicants will:
• Hold a valid QTS (or awaiting) ECT’S are encouraged to apply. 
• Have experience teaching in a KS2 classroom, lower KS2 experience is preferred.
• Show good classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Have a strong understanding of the KS2 school curriculum.
• Have the commitment to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to children.
