Role and responsibilities:
- Planning creative, engaging lesson plans ensuring that all children’s learning needs and abilities are met.
- Delivering effective lessons to the whole class of approximately 26 students.
- Adapting teaching strategies to ensure that every student understands and has effective support.
- Marking work throughout the day effectively and providing clear feedback to students and their families.
- Completing and writing development reports and assessments.
- Building strong, positive and professional relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Working to support and lead a class teaching assistant to enhance children’s learning opportunities.
- Creating and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment with effective lesson resources available.
- Working closely with the phase leader to ensure high quality teaching and learning.
- Attending staff meetings and training opportunities for personal progression opportunities.
Ideal applicants will:
- Have a valid, UK QTS alongside experience teaching in KS2 (preferably year 3 or 4)
- Show a positive role model to all.
- Hold strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be committed to children’s learning and education and want to make a difference.
- Hold experience using White Rose Maths and Little Wandle schemes (desirable)
