Smile Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a friendly and supportive primary school in Tamworth, seeking a passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This is a full-time teaching role, ideal for someone looking to make a real impact in a nurturing KS1 environment. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive support throughout their career.

About the Role:
You will take on a full class teacher role, including:

Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Working closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and SLT
Establishing strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
Taking responsibility for classroom behaviour and promoting school values

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – obtained or due by September 2025
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 preferred) – placement or paid
Strong behaviour management and pupil engagement skills
A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A team player with a proactive and reflective mindset
