Smile Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a friendly and supportive primary school in Tamworth, seeking a passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This is a full-time teaching role, ideal for someone looking to make a real impact in a nurturing KS1 environment. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive support throughout their career. 

About the Role:
You will take on a full class teacher role, including:
  • Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and SLT
  • Establishing strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
  • Taking responsibility for classroom behaviour and promoting school values
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – obtained or due by September 2025
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 preferred) – placement or paid
  • Strong behaviour management and pupil engagement skills
  • A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player with a proactive and reflective mindset
