SEN Primary Teacher – (School for the deaf) SEN Specialist Teacher – Full Time Location: B31 Pay: £150 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)

specialist deaf primary school in the
B31 area, which is seeking a
dedicated and experienced SEN Specialist Teacher to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with
strong deaf education and SEN experience to lead a class of deaf pupils, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that support both
academic progress and personal development. The role is suitable for teachers with experience in
KS1 and/or KS2 who are confident using
British Sign Language.
The Role- Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching tailored to deaf pupils with additional SEN needs
- Use British Sign Language (BSL) to support communication and learning
- Plan and implement personalised learning programmes in line with EHCPs and IEPs
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment that promotes positive behaviour
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress and development
- Use differentiated and multi-sensory teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and specialist professionals
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and parents/carers
- Contribute to reviews, meetings, and multi-agency planning
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times

Requirements- British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 – ESSENTIAL
- Strong experience working with deaf children and young people
- SEN teaching experience (minimum of 3 months)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ESSENTIAL
- Experience supporting additional needs such as ASD or learning difficulties
- Professional, patient, and caring approach
- Commitment to full-time work and reliability
- Ability to provide a minimum of two references covering the past two year
- At least one reference must comment on working with children
- Hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education
