Smile Education are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a welcoming primary school in Featherstone, Staffordshire (WV10) on a part-time basis (1 day per week). This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting and developing the school’s provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the school’s SEN provision in line with statutory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure all children receive appropriate support.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to promote the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Support staff in adapting teaching and learning strategies to meet diverse needs.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential.
  • SENCO qualification
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for inclusion and supporting every child to reach their full potential.
